girl to girl

Here's something I've learned over time:

If a man tells you that once a crazy woman chased him with her car and tried to run him over, the day may come when you understand completely and wish that she'd succeeded.

Do you, perhaps, have a specific person or situation in mind?

Curiouser and curiouser...

In my life, I would find said crazy woman, pick her up in my car and drive her with me to run said man over while commiserating over our mutual aggravations.

It's best to nip things like this in the bud.

Marisol, I like your style.

I salute you if you can jump right into marching alongside your sisters. (Or driving them, as the case may be.)

Despite my own best intentions, I often have to fiddle around with the clutch before I make the transition from "My but he says a lot of pretty things!" to "Wait a minute...he's just saying a lot of things, and though he does say them very prettily...there's nothing there, there."

For me, the coffee has to brew before I can wake up and smell it.

But I always pay attention to the women a man complains about. If they're all crazy psycho-bitches, I do start to wonder if it's because he makes them that way.

And in my experience, it usually is. Or at least there's more to the story than I was told.

Which doesn't necessarily mean he's evil. But I've learned to look keenly at the road ahead. There may be unforeseen potholes that will ruin my shocks and struts. There way be swerves in the road, and drops off cliffs, like I could never dream of.

I'm just sayin'.
